Hearing-aid prices in Denmark: how to compare a quote
The useful price is the amount you will actually pay for the complete agreed package. Before comparing offers, check whether each quote covers one hearing aid or two, and whether public support has already been deducted.

Put the final payment on the first line
Ask each provider for a written quote with the same headings. A headline price can be difficult to compare when one offer includes accessories or follow-up and another presents them separately. Make the comparison in kroner for the entire proposed package. Do not assume that a price shown next to a photograph applies to a pair of hearing aids.
- Number of hearing aids and exact model names.
- Total package price before any subsidy.
- Subsidy shown separately, with eligibility confirmed.
- Your final payment, including required extras.
- Services included and any future charges.
Public and private treatment are different routes
In Denmark, public hearing-aid treatment is normally available without personal payment when the relevant conditions are met. An approved private provider can offer treatment with public subsidy, with the user paying any remaining cost. Your clinical circumstances affect the available route. Ask the provider or region to confirm what applies to you before committing to a purchase.
Ask what a higher price changes
A more expensive model is only a meaningful option if the difference matters to you. Ask the professional to explain a proposed feature in an ordinary situation: a family meal, a telephone call or a conversation outdoors. Request the same explanation for a lower-priced option. Write down the claimed benefit and how you can evaluate it during an agreed trial, without assuming the price alone predicts your experience.
Include the years after collection
Before choosing, ask how follow-up appointments, repairs and replacement parts are handled. If the package includes a charger, check whether it is a basic charger or a portable one and whether a different charger costs extra. Confirm what happens if the device is lost or damaged. A clear written answer is more useful than a general promise of excellent service.
- Where will adjustments take place?
- Which consumables are included?
- What does the warranty cover and exclude?
- What support is available while a device is being repaired?
Use an example carefully
Suppose a written package costs DKK 12,000 before support. Borger.dk lists 2026 maximum private-treatment subsidies of DKK 4,497 for the first ear and DKK 2,437 for the second. If you qualify for both in full, the calculation is DKK 12,000 minus DKK 6,934, leaving DKK 5,066. This is an illustrative calculation, not an Audivello offer or a promise of eligibility. The provider must confirm your actual quote and support.

Take a comparable offer home
Leave with the model names, full price, included care and decision deadline in writing. Check any trial or return conditions before paying. If two quotes still seem impossible to compare, ask both clinics to complete your same short list. You are comparing a proposed care package for your needs; a headline discount does not answer those questions.
